About The School Print

Woolston Community High School is situated three miles to the east of Warrington town centre. It is a large 11-19 mixed comprehensive schol.

The original school buildings have been added to and modified. All faculties have specific areas within the building and access to specialist rooms and equipment where appropriate. The school has a well stocked library, a gymnasium and a large sports hall. The school currently has five networked computer rooms and over the next few months will have additional interactive whiteboards installed. We will also be purchasing additional sets of laptop computers for class use. The Governors are constantly looking at ways of improving facilities to ensure that teaching and learning takes place in a conducive environment.

Our facilities are also well used by other members of the community through evening classes and lettings, confirming its place at the heart of the community.

We pride ourselves on being a caring school. We strive to provide a safe and secure environment at all times. We have high expectations of our pupils in everything they do, in how they conduct themselves both in and out of school, and in how they wear the school uniform. We base our working relationships on mutual respect and understanding. We equally recognise the importance of building good working relationships with parents, as a child’s success often depends on the strength of the home-school partnership. We look to parents to ensure that their child attends regularly, correctly dressed and with the appropriate equipment, to support the school’s discipline and homework policy and to attend parents’ evenings,

For our part we are committed to providing the best education possible for your child within the resources available to us, and to keep you informed of your child’s progress on a regular basis.
